Retaining Water (and dirt)

Our retaining wall is pretty far along. And now the Madison County Inspection Office tells us we have to have a structural/soil Engineer perform a compaction test, and sign-off on the design. Months ago, we understood this was not necessary, but now it is. Go figure. So, we’re off to find a P.E. (Professional Engineer), and pay whatever the fee is to get this behind us. If this is the only major issue we run into, we’ll have done well.
