Siding with Us

The Nichiha brand cement fiber board siding (see 12/07/07 post) started going up this weekend. It is indeed the look we were going for—that of cedar shake shingles.

One of the young guys who owns the bobcat we use was on site Saturday. He had previously seen the stacks of siding on the lot, but upon seeing the siding on the wall, for a moment, he thought we changed our minds and went with real cedar siding instead. This stuff looks that good.

The contrast of the light gray trim against the red siding really makes the windows POP!
