Signing-Off

On the 8th, we finally received the long-awaited approval letter for our retaining wall from the engineering firm (see April 13 entry). I immediately forwarded the letter to the Madison County Inspection Department, and received their response--signing-off on our design, and allowing us to continue construction.

WHEW! This was not only holding up completion of our retaining wall, but landscaping the front yard, finishing the driveway, and front steps as well.

In reality, if this is the only major speed-bump we hit in the building process, we will have done pretty well.
